Car Boot Vendors are on a break and Jonathan is busking and playing shows in London wile Matt is busking and playing shows in Tailand.

We are still awaiting the third Car Boot EP that they finished recording just before they departed from Durban.

"I bought an acoustic guitar and started writing songs, recorded some demos in my bedroom and gave them to friends who kinda liked them so i started playing shows for my friends generally at the old faithful Winston Pub. Fast forward about a year i recorded some new demos including the hit single 'This One's For Belinda' which became hugely popular on Umbilo Road. I still play shows. i like sharing stories and songs and such things.... thats it" - Skollie!

Skollie! is Jonathan Mackie from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Think Peter Pan ingesting a concoction of the DIY Music of bands like the Ghost Mice and Andrew Jackson Jihad and creating honest, from the heart, youthful music that takes you on his personal adventures. So far he has 2 demo albums self recorded and released. His music is free to download so give it a listen.
Jonathan also plays bass guitar in the band 'Car Boot Vendors' who are shocking South Africa with their energetic, up beat acoustic punk and wild stage performances.
